The House of Representatives has passed and signed into law three sweeping pieces of legislation:
• The Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act
• The Families First Coronavirus Response Act
• The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
These laws were created to expand critical financial lifelines for families, establish new benefits and protections for workers, create new tools for small businesses to meet payroll and other expenses, and provide relief for students and schools. Guided Assistance Program: provides personalized support and referrals for
women and families facing difficult life challenges. The Center’s Referral Navigators, who are social workers, connect participants to community resources spanning crisis services,
social services, mental health, housing, financial and legal services.
Breastfeeding Moms Group: Build your community and confidence as a new mom, working mom or mother of two or more! A certified Lactation Consultant will help you overcome nursing challenges all while you connect with your baby and other awesome women. This free group meets every Wednesday, 10:00am to 11:00am virtually, via Zoom. Moms currently enrolled in the group will be on our list to receive an email with the Zoom meeting link. Moms new to this group may register online by clicking here.
