Description: Changes in life can be challenging, this 8 session support group can help! Moving homes, having a child go off to college, or becoming a stepparent are just some examples of life transitions this group helps people work though. Additionally, the purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with the coping skills needed to minimize unproductive responses to their identified life transition. The group is facilitated by Dr. Margo Merin, DSW who is experienced in meditation and mindfulness, as well as grief and bereavement counseling. Dr. Merin graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice from the School of Social Work and went on to receive a Doctorate in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University.

Description: Dr. Margo Merin, DSW, leads this Bereavement Group over 8-weeks. This is a welcoming space where anyone experiencing the bereavement process can come as they are. Share, connect, and find support in a safe, understanding environment. Dr. Merin brings deep expertise in grief, bereavement, and working with older adults, and has run similar supportive groups that focus on healing, mindfulness, and rebuilding one’s sense of purpose.

Taking Care: Empowerment for Women Navigating Healthcare

Description: Facilitator Maya Bartel, a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing in Guilford, will educate participants on how to feel visible in the health care system, understand medical records, and establish a more productive partnership with their providers. This workshop is open to women who are 18 years or older.

Meet with a volunteer Financial Consultants for personalized sessions focused on budgeting, credit, divorce finances, debt, and handling important paperwork.
