Social Work Internships

Students should be:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (BSW) or Master's (MSW) program at an accredited college or university
Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills
Able to work collaboratively with participants, families, and colleagues
Familiar with social work principles and practices
Committed to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in sensitive situations
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel)
Comfortable learning client-relations management (CRM) database
Prior work or volunteer experience with adults and/or families (preferred not required)

Volunteers at W&FLC

Donating your time is a vital contribution to the Women & Family Life Center, and we welcome community members who are eager to get involved. While we have a range of opportunities throughout the year, our greatest need is support for our signature gala and special events.

We are especially seeking lawyers and legal professionals to participate in our Lawyer Time program, providing essential guidance to individuals navigating legal challenges.

Volunteers may also assist with board or committee service, staffing events, or general office support. We ask that volunteers bring strong communication, writing, and computer skills, as well as general professional qualities such as punctuality, responsibility, and thoroughness.
