Donating your time is a vital contribution to our organization. W&FLC has several voluer opportunities throughout the year including a variety of special projects, programs, board service, committee service, staffing events, and general office support. Volunteers should have strong communication, writing and computer skills and are expected to demonstrate general work-related skills such as punctuality, responsibility, and thoroughness. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us to learn what is available and how you can get involved.
Interns help to promote our mission by participating in a number of programs and activities.
If you are interested in discussing an internship, contact Jennifer Wenderoth-Holster, Executive Director, at 203.458.6699 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your interest in being a part of our team.
Shay, Drew & Anna - Summer 2019 Interns
"Working with the W&FLC staff, women, and families has given me not only an educational experience, but a way to build connections with people and the community, which is necessary in social work. (As an intern) I still felt like I was a part of the staff and was treated like one. I felt like I was supported, not just by my suypervisors, but the whole staff in general. They did not make me feel like I was incompetent in any way, but rather more confident and independent in my abilities. This team wants to provide interns with a great learning experience and wants to see us suceed, so they will provide us with advice and support in any way that they can."
